LOWER DANUBE. Geto-Dacians. 1st century BC. 'Denarius' (Silver, 19 mm, 3.75 g, 3 h), imitating a Roman Republican denarius of Pinarius Natta (149 BC). Head of Roma to right, wearing winged helmet; behind, X (mark of value). Rev. NATTA / ROMA Victory driving galloping biga to right, holding whip in her right hand and reins in her left. Cf. Crawford 208/1 (for prototype). A beautiful piece of exceptionally fine style. Good very fine.
